Why I am Seeking Re-Election
I am seeking re-election as your Ward C Councillor because I believe Muskoka deserves experienced, thoughtful and responsible leadership.
For the past eight years, I have served the Township, first on the Committee of Adjustment and, for the last four years, as your Ward C Councillor and Chair of the Planning Committee.
I bring to Council professional experience in finance and management, a strong understanding of municipal planning and bylaws, and a deep commitment to protecting the lakes, forests and communities that make Muskoka special.
The next four years will bring important challenges: protecting our environment, managing growth responsibly, maintaining our aging infrastructure, providing services to year-round residents and keeping municipal finances under control.
I believe we can meet these challenges while preserving the character and natural beauty that make Muskoka home.
I would be honoured to continue serving the residents of Ward C.

The Next Four Years
The next term of Council will bring some very important decisions.
After a four-year delay resulting from the appeal of the Official Plan to the Ontario Land Tribunal, Council will need to update the Comprehensive Zoning Bylaw.
It will also need to finalize plans for dealing with the aging arenas, build a new fire hall in Minett and begin implementing the rationalization of our community centres.
At the same time, Council will face a fundamental financial challenge: How do we keep taxes reasonable while maintaining and improving the roads, buildings and other infrastructure that residents depend upon?
These decisions will require careful consideration, sound financial management and an understanding of the long-term consequences of those decisions.
Environment First
Putting Muskoka’s environment at the heart of every decision.
Respectful Responsible
Development
Supporting growth while protecting what makes Muskoka special.
Fiscal Responsibility
Keeping taxes in check through disciplined, responsible spending.
Bylaw Development & Enforcement
Ensuring bylaws are clear, fair and consistently enforced.
